have we told you about...

Mitchell's Place!! http://mitchells-place.com

This is Audrey's new school this year -Grant will be there next year! WE LOVE THIS SCHOOL :) It is absolutely amazing and we wanted to share it with everyone.

MP is a school for Autistic children. It mixes classes 50/50 with "typical" children and "spectrum" children. The typical children like Audrey get to be role models and helpers for the other children. They also get a reinforcement of Speech and Occupational Therapy and are being taught by great B.S. and Master Degree teachers! It is an wonderful facility and we feel so thrilled and blessed to be part of it! Audrey is learning such empathy and other life skills that could never be taught.

.....She is happy so we are happy :)

a recent art day...

audrey loves to have art days....we pull out all the supplies and make a mess ~ it's great....though i have banished all play-doh and moon sand to the picinic table outside....i have to draw the line somewhere :) i am loving art days as well....it is bringing out my inner-child, pseudo creative side....
grant is learning about art days....he would rather eat the crayons and play-doh and moon sand and - well you get the picture...

We are now Lancers!

After 6 years of being Wolves and bleeding green & gold we are now Lancers! Liberty Park Middle School Lancers to be exact :) Brett's new school feeds into Vestavia Hills High School so I guess we are Rebels as well....red, white & blue and always true.... here is a picture of Brett coaching - on the field with the red shirt - i know, it's a bit far away.

Grant wanted on that field so badly.....

Mommy, I just wanna go play with the big boys!!

Soon, Grant, Soon...please be my baby boy a little longer!

My social butterfly daughter is already checking out the guys.....we really like this one ~ he's a cutie and a good friend already....
