princess night...

....at our local Chik-fil-a!

every tuesday night chick-fil-a in our area has family night & kids eat free....nice!....well this week it was moved to thursday and it was Sweet & Sassy Princess Night!

of course, brother was not going to be left out! he felt the need to dress up too :)

while we waited for hair-dos & make-up big man and his daddy played inside.....no girlie stuff for the boys!

sunday started off with church....great service....and big man's hat he made is absolutely priceless....gotta love it!

...so after church, lunch and checking out the softball fields that we were not allowed to play on yesterday for our make-up game (can you tell i am a bit upset about not getting to make up our game??...ugh!) ~ we headed to the mcwane center for a fun afternoon!

oh, and one of the kids most favorite......fixing the car! brother man LOVES this exhibit...he could stay there for hours!

mcwane was a blast as always!....then we headed to the park for an hour or so....leftovers for dinner ~ yum-o and then an early bed time for the kiddos!! love days like this to tire them out :)

rain, rain...

....was headed our way!

so, when the skies look this above and the weatherman is calling for tornados & such....we find a way to keep ourselves content in our home!

saturday we had a day of family togetherness to say the least! a little cleaning & a lot of game playing made for a fun day....seriously, i can't think of the last time that we literally did not leave the house once during the day!

we played almost every game in our house plus a little Wii, a few puzzles, some cooking & baking brownies and then a movie!

big man wasn't quite ready to give up the hippos! .... and he was quite content playing by himself :)

and the kids loved the idea of getting to stay in their pajamas ~ or jj's as we call them ~ all day!

 miss priss was out of school for a weather day they never needed, so of course i had to take the day off too!...we started the morning off with a pedi for mom & a *mani/pedi* for miss priss....i must say she did a great job picking out her color.....seriously, 10 bucks for her nails AND toes! can't beat that with a stick...they even trimmed & filed them....sweet!

next was a yummy, girlie lunch.....the following pics were taken from my phone so excuse the quality....

i am pretty sure priss would say the best part of her lunch was the cake at the end....and ya know what!??! i would have to agree!! don't get me wrong ~ my quiche & salad were wonderful but my piece of warm vanilla cake with buttercream icing was unbelievable! check out this decadent place for yourself, click here...

after lunch and a little window shopping we moved on to THE event of the day....

getting miss priss' ears pierced!! she has been talking about this for a long time...always saying she was going to wait until she was a certain age....well, the most recent age was six ~ which is not until june...but then another little girl in her class had hers done recently...and that was all the courage she needed! i really still wasn't convinced she was going to do it.....

but she did!!!

they did them both at the same time....

and then there were tears....

and then it was over!

she wanted blue flowers....i guess to go with everything else she had on blue yesterday....i convinced her silver balls would go with more outfits!

before i knew it she was already checking out more earrings! this is going to be a lot of fun ~ for both of us! i thought it was cute that she immediately went to the puzzle earrings...that child LOVES to do puzzles :)

it was quite a fun, very girlie day.....we loved it! poor daddy was stuck at the house cutting the grass and brother was at school doing his st. jude's trike-a-thon :) now the only *issue* i have is that my perfectonist child asks me every hour ~ do i need to twist my earrings? is it time to clean them? ..... at least it is a good problem to have!
