sweet dreams....

last night sissy decided she wanted to sleep with her brother....i honestly don't ever remember her asking that...so . stinkin' . sweet!! of course we happily obliged :)

though i was a little concerned their wouldn't be enough room for her....you know with all the other guests in his bed :) he may act like a rough and tumble football player but he is still my sweet baby boy on the inside...thank goodness!!

i mean, that is some sweet lovin' right there!!!

pageant hair....

....we have this expression or should i say *inside joke* in our family about pageant hair....i didn't realize it at the time but i was once told that i had pageant hair....ya know the type...big, poofy, curls extending from every surface of my head....and well, when i hot roll my hair i can obtain that poof....though i must admit, haven't done so in a long time :)

well my sweet daughter with her stick straight locks has been longing for curls....i mean, i get it ~ everyone wants what they don't have but good gravy that child has beautiful straight hair....embrace it girl!! anyhoo, all that to say we bought some sponge rollers this weekend....it was quite the adventure...

and seeing as grams was in town, we put her to work rolling out her hair....

and the next morning....as soon as the curlers came out...

after a little poofing, separating & fixin'...pageant hair!

it turned out beautifully!!....and she LOVED having curls finally :) there is no telling how often she will be asking me to do this ~ i may have created a monster :)

and one more shot before church....yes, the child wore her rain boots to church this morning ~ so did her brother :) it was a yucky rainy day....perfect for their boots!

and by the time we got out of church her curls were almost all fallen....i'm sure the humidity today didn't help! we will try it again..and experiment a little more :)

good times & drama....

...that was the best way to describe our house this evening!

i scored BIG time at a consignment sale yesterday...small shoulder pads for only TEN BUCKS!!...sweet! big man was quite excited to say the least...he already had the jersey from his birthday & we borrowed the helmet from the middle school....so cute!!

no, he does not have on a dress...it is a youth underarmour shirt that is a bit long on him to say the least...but to him it is a "football shirt" and that's all that matters!

oh my....this will be real before i know it! for now we will just think possible halloween costume :)

down....set....hike!!

now on to the drama part....cause it's just not a good time without some drama...lol!

sissy thought she would try on brother's shoulder pads...all fine and dandy ~ until they had to come off!....well needless to say, brett tugged, i held arms and audrey yelled ouch....while all that open mouth yelling was going on, her other front tooth was flying across the living room!...yup, when the shoulder pads came off so did her tooth....there were tears, a little blood and a whole lotta drama....her mom & dad are getting pretty good about *helping* those teeth out :)

a little pitiful...holding a little pressure...bless it!

yeah, she really wasn't too excited about this!

of course once i reminded her the tooth fairy is coming she perks up!

all she wants for christmas is...

in full swing...

...well two weeks into the new school year and we are definitely full swing into it! school, work, football practices, gymnastics, art classes, yearbook, football games ~ busy busy! but we wouldn't have it any other way honestly :)

yesterday started sissy's second week of gymnastics....tried to snap a few pics but they were on the other side of the mat most of the time...

she has moved up a level this year and goes twice a week....so we thought a spiffy new leotard would be in order as well!....you know, in case mommy is too lazy busy to do laundry between monday & wednesday :)

she has a new coach too.....michael ~ good name, good guy! he is really great with them...

this class is really going to challenge her but that is a good thing.....she has pretty much mastered everything at the other level so it is time to learn some new stuff! she says she wants to take gymnastics forever & ever...we shall see little girl, we shall see...

but if nothing else, she sure does look cute in a leotard!!

and the beat goes....

last night was the end of the year party for the library outreach reading program...

...popsicles & a drum circle!

john scalici and the get Rhythm crew are great!

out a rhythm to our favorite foods...

fan day...

...saturday morning we helped the blazers kick-off football season with fan day!

such a good time...

the football players served us breakfast...how cute is that?!?!

after breakfast we took the chance to grab a few pics...

and the kiddos with head coach callaway....he was so cute with them, like a grandpa!

a few minutes of jump time and then we headed in for some autographs...

the quarterbacks...

and of course we had to get some pics of the offensive line....we love our big boys!!....we made sure to get the guys to sign brother's hat...

to say that brother was in awe was an understatement....he was high five-ing them and telling them how he was going to play ball too!

of course, sis wasn't going to miss a chance at meeting the cheerleaders & dancers....she even got their autographs too! they were so sweet and cute with her...

of course, we had to get a picture with blaze!!

after the autographs were over there was a little scrimmage to watch....just not what you think!.....the guys played a little pick-up volleyball game with the girls volleyball team....hilarious!....the girls put a beating on them :)

it was such a fun morning and we were excited to be able to go.....with the band playing and seeing all the players, cheerleaders, etc. it really got us pumped up for football season!
