vulcan birthday bash...

after church & lunch yesterday we headed high atop red mountain to help wish the vulcan a very happy 106th birthday!!...such a great family fun afternoon...of course, sis was a little confused ~ "well, how big was the vulcan when he was born?"....trying to explain that was interesting!...i told her that actually 106 years ago he was built, not born.....he is exactly 100 years older than her!

they had lots of fun stuff for the kids!...inflatables, hula hooping, face painting, rhythm drums, pics with vulcan himself, icecream & more!!

sissy said first things first....we had to go up to the top of the vulcan!!....daddy was not too excited about this but he did great :)

then back down for all the fun!!

big man was in awe of the rhythm drums....he loved it!!....and i must brag for a moment ~ my boy has some major rhythm! he sat down with a drum and immediately began beating in rhythm with everyone else....it was so awesome!

and miss priss was quite in awe of all the hula hoops!! ....that girl loves to hula hoop and (yup, bragging again!) she is pretty good .... she even got fancy & did two at a time!!

while standing in line to get their faces painted i was reminded that my boy is still a baby boy....we forget sometimes because of his size but as his daddy was holding him & he was gnawing on his finger it hit me....he is still teething!! his big molars are cutting in the back of his mouth....bless him! he has been such a trooper :)

but teething is not going to stop him from turning into a superhero & his sissy a beautiful butterfly!!

next up some inflatable fun, singing happy birthday & icecream!!
