catch up....

ok, let's play a little catch up for a moment.....
after returning from georgia we still had two days of work/school before the official thanksgiving holidays...by the way, have i ever told you how awesome it is to have two thanksgiving dinners in a week?!?! spread out nicely so you aren't sick of it...sweet!!...anyhoo, last monday at school miss priss had her feast...
nothing like a story with a bunch of pilgrims & indians to get it kicked off!
and i must thank my sweet friend for taking all these pics for me...i had the opportunity to work that day ~ and seeing as those days are few and far between i jumped on it! more on that later :) .... daddy gladly picked up the parental duties and helped out...
such a cute little meal :)
pretty pilgrims!

so after one more day of *normalcy* we packed up and headed south for thanksgiving with grammy's gang!
...precious book and then a good nights sleep to "help" with cooking....
...kinda figured they couldn't go wrong with the relish tray!
...keeping busy while we finish up the cooking!
so thankful for these two!!
all the *young* kids for a sweet pic.....and of course a silly one too!!
and here is beautiful morgan ~ you know, the 16 year old & too cool to take a pic with the kids routine...
ahhh, turkey time!!
after a wonderful meal it was back outside and time to run-off some energy....the kids have a blast at grams because she has alot of open space for them to roam...

a little girl time....they were so cute "braiding" each others hair!....and then morgan hooked them all up with some awesome hairdos :)

grammy and her gang!
and of course the weekend didn't stop there but i will spare you and post the continuation later :)

big chief & little chief

....to those of you who knew my hubby growing up you will appreciate that more! which is why we had to have that shirt when we saw it :)

gotta love a nickname that stays with you forever! even when we head back to brett's hometown we still run into people that call him chief....i love it!

well, we are heading south for thanksgiving with my family! look for a big post soon :)

Happy Thanksgiving to All My Dear Family & Friends!!! Hope You All Have an Amazing Day :)

thanksgiving in GA....

...after a friday afternoon basketball game, we didn't arrive at mimi & pops' house until late friday night.....but saturday morning the kids were rip-roarin'-ready-to-go!! and uncle blake didn't disappoint...big man was in awe when he saw this beauty arrive in the driveway....
he loves ANYTHING to do with john deere tractors....of course, uncle blake & daddy obliged the kids with a morning ride ~ pjs and all!

after a bit more playing at the house we changed and decided to head on up to the farm for thanksgiving dinner....of course, i had to snap a few pics first...

miss priss immediately went to work helping set the tables...

brother of course wanted nothing to do with that and went outside to be with the *big boys*.....it was time to fry some turkeys!!....

i came back in to find miss priss in awe.....i mean, can you blame her?!?!
big man was quite excited to find what was hiding in here...
a real john deere!
ok, almost there....about ready to drop them in!
we had so much fun playing & visiting with all the cousins....big and small...

love some pops & mimi!

and we have a new addition to the clan this year.....katelyn ann!
she is absolutely precious!!!
the kids waiting & watching the carving begin....funny they choose to be right by the desserts to do so!

of course, the picture taking stopped once we started eating....i mean, a girl does have priorities :) though i did snap one more pic of the kids with mamaw jessie....ya know she is the one responsible for all this wonderful family!
now a couple days of work and we head south for thanksgiving with my family! i can't wait to do it all over....yummy :)

book fair....

this past week was the book fair at sissy's school!! it is really neat the way they do it. the entire book fair is through barnes & noble so you know the books and quality are great. there was a preview party last week at the actual store and then they set up the books at the school...
...coming up the stairs and seeing the books for the first time

lots of great books to choose from!

and let me tell you, they were worried. her class was the last class to go on the last day! but the barnes & noble staff was awesome about restocking and making sure even the last kids had lots to choose from.
cute friends and cute books :)
so excited!
now it's time to pay...

enjoying her new books!!

and you know those out takes from the *photo shoot* i was supposed to post!??! yeah, they are coming. along with a few shoots in their christmas attire....promise :)
