...for our sweet kindergarten valentine...

this morning was audrey's valentine brunch at her school.....so cute! all the classes were in the lunchroom together....

so, to add a bit of excitement to the day....SNOW!....they were going to dismiss schools at 11:30....but everyone had to eat lunch first....bless the kids, they had just finished their brunch & had to shuffle back through the lunchroom to eat again! i thought this pic was cute.....they look like a group of jailbirds.....let's hope it is not a sign of things to come :)

today was grant's valentine party at school.....precious artwork!

audrey's valentine party is tomorrow morning.....hopefully.....they are predicting snow and well, snow + alabama = chaos....we shall see!

we set up our own little superbowl party last night....yummy food, great game & good times...the kids played, watched the game a little and pigged out just like we did :)

poor grant had a rough weekend....bashed up face and yucky fever....bless 'em....he got feeling better yesterday afternoon, thank goodness.....as much as he wears me out, i hate seeing him down....

brett and i were pulling for the saints.....gotta love an underdog....audrey was pulling for the colts, only because she knew her cousin payton loves them......by the end of the game she was on our side....she didn't want to loose....i tried to explain to her about loosing & winning gracefully....yeah, softball should be interesting this year!

i couldn't resist taking a pic with these two cuties sunday morning after church.....now, if isabella had been in there it would have been practically perfect in every way....can you tell we are excited about disney?!?!

....whew, we crammed a lot into our saturday!

grant started the morning off trying to get into a fight with the side of the couch....well you see who won.....yikes! that left a mark...

while audrey & her daddy were at softball, grant & our wonderful guests....grams & olivia..ran errands....including getting mom some snazzy new sneakers for disney! the kids were quite excited to all be together last night....fun, fun!

and why was grams watching the kids?!?!......so brett & i could attend the Liberty Park Gala Fundraiser....

it sure is nice to get all dressed up every once in a while......though it is quite apparent that i wear danskos not heels almost everyday....my feet were killing me by the time the night was over....the price we pay to look cute ~ fashion first....ha!

we've been taken over....

....by boy stuff!

these little creatures find themselves in the most unusual spots......my favorite is under your foot in the middle of the dark night....ugh!

as i looked around my living room yesterday afternoon i couldn't help but snap these pictures....it is such tale through photography of all things boy.....from army men to dinosaurs, monster trucks, footballs, sippy cups, tools and more....i didn't even touch on the vast array of tonka trucks, matchbox cars, all things *Thomas* and the other 50 million treasures that fill his room....

give a girl a baby doll & dress up clothes and she will be happy for hours....boys need things....lots & lots of little things....they must erect it, fix it, admire it, tear it down & then do it all again....boy things must make noise and if for some reason they don't come with their own battery operated squeals, squeaks & vrooms ~ never fear, for boys will impromptu with their own vivacious sounds....usually better than the toy company could have ever imagined anyway! this also leads me to another profound thought that i am sure you have all heard before.....the only difference between men & boys is the price of their toys!.....such truth....


and as you see below.....sweet baby girl loves get thrown to the back....only to make room for home depot to inundate our home with enough *fix-ems* to make an amateur handyman look weak....ahhhh, the toils & tribulations of a boy....


one of the biggest joys though about these boys is their passion......grant has the same boisterous passion with his toys, tackling his daddy & being wide open as he does with loving me, cuddling us up & loving us unconditionally......and that my friends makes all those *things* above so less important.....as mad as i get & as WORN out as i become, it all gets washed away when he hugs me tight, plants a big kiss on my cheek & says in his precious voice ~ "i love you mom!"

or maybe it's because one of the two had the better seat for t.v watching this afternoon.....

i will let you decide.....either way it is still sweet goodness & i love seeing it!

there is no telling which way the scenario went this afternoon.....disney channel, i.e. baby crack, has mystical powers on my children.....and ya know what??!!?! sometimes i need those mystical powers to get laundry done, supper on the table & lunches packed.....i'm just saying.... sometimes we all need a little help, wherever we can get it!

....well, it's official....audrey is going to be a red sox this spring!! whooohoo! when brett asked my opinion on which team we should choose for softball of course i said the BoSox....

the girls have a little clinic this weekend and then the first practice next week....this is going to be a really fun season & adorable team....now, if we can keep coach richards calm we'll all be doing good!
