july 4th weekend, part two...

Independence Day at the Ballpark!
we spent 4th of July evening watching the Montgomery Biscuits take on the Birmingham Barons at Riverwalk Stadium.....such a fun family night!!....this was our first time at the stadium ~ it is beautiful! we really enjoyed our evening.....though it did take brother man a little bit to wake up from his cat nap, but not long and he was ready to go!!

awesome stadium!! awesome night!!

getting all the posed family shots out of the way before the game started!....grams even had an extra ticket so pay-pay got to bring a friend...so fun :)

almost grammy's gang!
my all-american babes....love them!
brother wanted his hat signed...he marched down to the ballplayers & hit them with his hat to get their attention! they were more than happy to sign for him :)
while brother was meeting the players, the girls got to meet big mo!
a rare pic of just us :)
more fun family shots...
who can pass up a chance to do the y-m-c-a?!
...i was trying to teach big man, he finally got it!
a barons victory!
now time for fireworks!! the kids were so excited....well, then there's brother man....we thought he liked it at first but then quickly realized he was squealing in fear, not delight! luckily they weren't too long and he recovered quickly....we'll try again next year :)
again, a fun way to spend independence day!! and you know we also managed to eat our way through the entire stadium :)
time now to get back to reality for a few days and then pack up for our next adventure.....BEACH!

july 4th weekend, part one...

we headed down to grammy's house to spend the long 4th of July weekend....so fun!...we managed to enjoy lots & lots of awesome things in our four days....never a dull moment...and never a short post :)...heads up, this is just the first one!!....as you can see from above, brother man woke up friday morning in quite the patriotic mood....the kids loved all the decorations at grams' house....now sissy on the other hand was not waking up so patriotic...or should i say not waking up at all!!
...that girl loves her sleep!! the kiddos had *camped out* in the living room the night before...and she was quite comfy :) her daddy finally arose the princess.....good thing because we had places to go, people to see & things to do!!
...first on the agenda (though i have no pics) was visiting with a dear, dear friend from my childhood....so sweet & special! it had been entirely too long...next up, a tea party! first a few pics at the house before the girls went there way and the boys went there's...

though big man wasn't going with us, he insisted on being in the pics....and i happily obliged :)

beautiful cousins....ready for the ladies' lunch!

great idea grams!.....and yummy food too :) it was fun being so prissy with the girls....

now, time for the good stuff....miss priss ordered the strawberry shortcake tea...amazing!!...it was a table favorite :)
pinkies up darling!

our first course....strawberry sandwiches for the little ladies & quiche and salad for us!....i didn't get any pics of the beautiful tiered tray of scones, sandwiches & desserts that came next but trust me....they were beautiful and delicious!!
just missing one sweet girl and this pic would be complete....oh well, just a great excuse to go back for more!
after tea and such we headed over to aunt lisa's house to celebrate my nephew's birthday and get ready for his baseball game that night.....
his team is in the all-star tournament right now....we were so glad we were there for his game! and of course, their win made it even better!!!
all the family cheering on our pay-pay man!!
after such a fun-filled and busy friday we opted for the pool on saturday....we were there all . day . long and loved it!!....great relaxing day...
sunday will be a post all it's own.....let's just say baseball, peanuts & fireworks ~ doesn't get more American than that for an Independence Day celebration!!...stay tuned :)
