a little about me...

....the ending to our super, fun-filled, jam packed day ~ friday night mexican & chocolate cake!

seeing as it was my birthday, we decided to step friday night mexican up a notch and head to cocina superior...lol, yup that's whatcha get when your birthday falls on a friday around here :)

then we ran into whole foods for cake....remember, it's my birthday right?!? but somehow miss priss managed to get her favorite ~ chocolate cake! oh well, they eat more of it than me anyway :)

though i did manage to convince sissy to pick me out some $5 roses.....a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!...

sissy did a great job taking the above pic!

LOVE these kiddos!!

when i was putting the roses in water i couldn't help but notice their name....quite appropriate for the holiday weekend!

one more party....

sis and i caught the end of brother's halloween party....and just in time to go out to the playground with the class!!

so after mystery reader at brother's school & a few errands, i went back up to visit miss priss' class during their halloween centers...lots of fun!!

they had several fun games, decorating masks & yummy snacks!!

whew, what a day....and it still isn't over!!....back to brother's school for the tail end of his party!

i was so excited to be  the mystery reader ~ kelly, the *good* witch ~ at big man's school again this year...so much fun!! and being able to be dressed as a witch all day on your birthday is absolutely fabulous....i mean, we should all be able to be our "true" selves on our b'day...lol!!

halloween program....

sissy's 1st grade halloween program friday morning kicked off our weekend of halloween fun!! they sang adorable songs and then each class recited a poem....too cute!!

after the program we joined them in the classroom for rice krispie treats and the pumpkin parade!!

here she is miss priss & her fancy nancy....

there were LOTS of great pumpkins!!...i even snagged a few ideas for when it is brother's turn :) we also loved visiting all our friends as we traveled the halls....

hard at work and now time for mom to leave.....but i will be back for more afternoon fun!!

last week we were so excited to be able to celebrate one precious little boy's birthday!!

costumes, cake, pizza & park fun.....what a beautiful, perfect afternoon!!

we LOVE, LOVE these kiddos and are so blessed to have them and their awesome parents in our lives!! who would have thought 10 years ago in nursing school that we would now be celebrating these precious kids.....man, time flies when you are having this much fun!
