art & s'mores....

audrey's creative streak was a mile long today.....whew, she must have a little picasso pinned up inside her trying to get out!!
but before that, the morning started off quite interesting....surprise, surprise ~ both children managed to sneak into our bed early this morning...as i am cuddling them i realize they are both burning up....ugh....we knew grant has been battling something but audrey was fresh meat....stomachache, junky sounding cough & fever won itself a trip to the doctor....but before i could get out the door ~ i know what you are thinking and YES, our pediatrician is open first thing sunday morning...talk about a blessing! ~ and brett off to his meeting at church i get called into work.....ugh ugh....so much for brett's meeting....brett took the kids to the doctor and i headed in....as murphy's law would go, they get to the doctor and the kids are acting fine....motrin kicked in, fever down.....it's just viral & the typical prescription ~ motrin & fluids.....ugh . ugh . UGH.....we all managed back home around the same time and that is when all the *real* fun began....
art day & s'mores!

audrey is the *rainbow of the week* for her class.....part of her rainbowy duties is to make a poster all about her....she had a lot of fun painting, cutting out her name and fixing the pictures....of course, grant is never to be out done ~ he too had to get in on the painting action....though, bless his little two-year-old attention span, he didn't last as long as audrey...

grant's masterpiece.....let's call it abstract :)

audrey's poster......rainbow ready!

after wild man decided to move on to bigger and better things ~ cleaning the toilets with daddy ~ audrey had one more masterpiece to create.....and was it ever!!

i really like roosters.....a few of them inhabit my kitchen here and there.....i also really like children's art....i keep a picture frame above the table with audrey's art.....we've had a pig, a tiger and now this gorgeous rooster....

i am so proud of her....she has wanted to make that for me from the first day she saw it in her art book.....audrey is so creative and sweet...always thinking of others.....man, i hope that lasts....precious, precious *drama queen* child.....the drama must come from her creative side :)
like i said before....her creative streak continued....cooking....she broke out her awesome paula deen children's cook book and found the perfect thing for this cold day.... s'mores! ....yummy....they were ooey, gooey good :)

now, if i can just stay home the rest of the night and not have to go into work.....ahhh, that would be a perfect ending to this day.....hope you guys had a great weekend and enjoyed the cool weather!!

You guys are Awesome! She did a GREAT Job on that picture! I know you are very proud. She was watching me make Kylie's dress today. And to say the least she was very interested. You had better watch out she will be asking for a sewing machine next.

We have that Paula Deen cookbook at our house too. My girls have mastered the omelets. I love Audrey's rooster!
