saturday was pop's day ~ we celebrated his 60th birthday!
after olivia's awesome celebration friday, we got up early & headed to georgia to celebrate pops! blake hosted us at his house with a *low country boil*..... for those of you that know blake, he couldn't just have a regular ol' boil....oh no, he had to add his twist ~ and boy did we enjoy it!! the traditional shrimp, potatoes, corn & sausage with the addition of crab legs, onions, chicken & lobster tails.... yum-o!
the kids splashed around in the pool a little while we watched football, cooked & enjoyed ourselves....
audrey & grant really enjoyed the whole process of the boil.....they liked checking out all the goods and especially liked *helping* uncle blake cook....

and the kids loved it too!!
after dinner was pops' favorite cake.....red velvet....i have just one question ~ how many richards men does it take to light the birthday candles??!?!

....october brings LOTS of birthdays for us....many friends and family share this special month....stay tuned for more celebrating!

What an awesome picture of all the Richards men! I was thinking of that one w/ Fred and the kids on his back...you should get one of Fred, Brett and then Grant like that, HA! Poor Fred, but it'd make a cool generation picture!
