o' christmas tree...

....o' christmas tree!
after snow & breakfast and a little playtime we headed north of the city to cut down our christmas tree....beavers christmas tree farm is great! they have tons & tons of beautiful trees...this is *definitely* going to become a family tradition...

everyone getting ready.....audrey looks so serious about finding the perfect tree....

grams came up last night to babysit for us and we convinced her to stay and go tree huntin' with us....i think she is now quite grateful for her pre-lit artificial tree :)

so pretty.....and so big.....lots of trees to inspect....
and we're off.....huntin' the *perfect* tree....
audrey found one she liked.....just her size....
mom found one she liked.....charlie brown has nothing on her :)
and grant.....well, he just wanted to chop something down!
here it is.....our tree....chubby & round....we love it!

grant finally got his chance to chop down the tree....

victory! luckily we didn't have to carry it too far....they had a guy riding around on a gator picking up all the trees.....
after all that hard work, we needed some hot chocolate.....like they didn't get enough at breakfast!
loving all these family shots.....thanks again mom!
ok, so ya know the scene from christmas vacation (one of our favorites) when clark cuts the rope & the tree goes flying through windows, etc..?!?! yeah, that's what i was waiting for....

but nope.....it was a perfect fit!!
now.....mission for tomorrow after church.....getting *sparkle* decorated....last year our tree was named stella....this year audrey decided on sparkle.....hopefully she will live up to her name tomorrow.....we were having a light issue tonight....half worked, half didn't....which was realized after clark, i mean brett, strung them on the tree....ahh, the joys of the holidays!
