our trip to disney....

....what a magical, amazing, interesting, wonderful trip to disney world!!

here's where that interesting part comes in....you know we can't do anything easy or be without some sort of *adventure*.... so, sunday before we are about to leave for my mom's house, my little guy starts throwing up ~ nice, real nice....we head to mom's anyway and he continues to throw up, and throw up and diarrhea, and throw up a bunch more....UGH!...after a quick trip to the local "doc-in-a-box" and a shot of phenergan we thought we were in the clear....nope, no such luck....more vomitting, to the point of blood....yikes, now i'm a bit nervous.....i handle sickness, injuries and such quite well ~ usually ~ but when your 2 & 1/2 year old starts throwing up blood, well that's in a whole other realm of motherhood.....i loaded up my sweet boy & my mom and we headed to the ER.....after a two hour wait - don't even get me started on this part of the story!!! - we got in the back to the most amazing doctor and nurses i could have ever asked for....they were wonderful with my terribly dehydrated child.....he needed a liter of fluids, etc....and of course, right before we are discharged he spikes a temp...UGH, UGH!.....needless to say we walked back in the house at 4:15am and were on the road by 5am....my brother & hubby had stayed at home to get some sleep....mom & i knew we could sleep on the road.....wow! what an adventure....he was a bit pitiful the first few days & slept a lot but always woke up happy to ride the rides & see the shows.....and let me tell you, by thursday he was back to his old self.....he is not going to remember this trip regardless but have no fear, i will remind him of his first disney adventure!!
