....my saturday morning delight.....pepper place farmers market....today was the first morning we have been able to get down to the market....i absolutely love going and just poking around all the booths...of course, the opportunity to purchase awesome fresh produce, herbs, cheeses, breads, flowers & goods make it even better!....everyone joined me today & the kids did really well with all the puppy dogs walking around....as a matter of fact big man kept asking to pet people's dogs!!!....oh how far they have come :)
today my bag of goodies consisted of....fresh basil, vine ripe tomatoes, chilton county peaches & fresh cheese from wright's dairy ~ the cheese is called wanda....i have gotten it before and it is great, like a softer asiago....yum-o! of course, miss priss and i were also in awe of of all the booths of gorgeous flowers....when we spotted the hydrangeas we were sold!....they are my favorite flower and miss priss just loves having real flowers in the house....that's my girl :)
i have plans for that basil & cheese.....homemade pesto!! i am also thinking of slicing the tomatoes with fresh mozzarella & sprinkling with olive oil, cracked pepper and the basil....or even tomato sandwiches!!...the peaches are for the rest of the fam ~ i am not a peach fan.....yes, i know i am crazy :)
and to make the trip even better we ran into some friends and their sweet baby girl....good times!

You are a better woman than I am, David does ALL our cooking! I love those flowers. I have several bushes in my yard and just clipped some for arrangements in the house today. They look really cute in oversized mason jars with rafia ribbon tied around them. Love Audrey's b'day pics. Can't believe they eat sushi!
