mystery reader.....

Happy Halloween!!

...it was quite the *witching* experience to be mystery reader on friday......though, some may say, it was not too hard for me to get dressed up.....just dust off the ol' hat, jump on my broom & head on over....i landed at grant's school first....i had the wonderful opportunity to read to each classroom.....so fun & so rewarding....if i can give back just 5 minutes to these teachers who do so much for my children and all the children, i will do it happily ~ or witchingly :)

while i was reading to one of the classes they snapped this picture of grant working on the class pumpkin with his teacher miss sama......i can't wait to see the finished punkin'!

outside his classroom door......how cute!!

after grant's school i zoomed over to audrey's to read, help with the halloween centers & costume parade.....pics arriving soon!

fall festival.....

last night we had the opportunity to attend the liberty park baptist church fall festival.....wow, did we have fun!! audrey loved seeing lots of friends from school, grant loved the candy, brett *loved* getting aggravated by his students & i loved seeing everyone having a great time!

within a minute of arriving audrey spotted the face painting clowns....they were awesome! grant looked on ~ from a distance....he wanted nothing to do with his own face being painted....

quickly though, brett and i realized we would have to divide and conquer.....i stayed with audrey and she immediately ran for the swings.....the girls loved it!

we found the boys golfing.....surprise, surprise

we finally found this adorable puppy....

after a train ride and a few more games it was time to eat......hotdogs, cheetos & juice boxes = happy kids!

taz football & ostrich egg toss were next on the agenda....

** note to self & others in the company of my son....ya wanna keep him busy & quiet??? one small box of nerds.....the child was enthralled.....eating each itty bitty piece one.by.one...

our evening concluded with the balloon man......a perfect ending....one mermaid & one caterpillar to go please :)

thanks again julie for inviting us!
