and so it begins....

yesterday afternoon we kicked off the fall football season with brett's team scrimmage...big man LOVED an opportunity to wear his jersey.....matter of fact he will probably have it on for every game and sleep in it too!!

he was so pitiful the other night...he looked up at brett & i and with big ol' alligator tears and cried, "i wanna grow up now!!"...when we asked him why he cried, "cause i wanna play football now!"...bless him, he doesn't understand that it will be here before he knows it ~ but we do.

....yes, nine years ago today we did this....

and it was one of THE best decisions we ever made :)

sunday we headed up to mamaw jessie's house for lunch....it has been way too long since we have visited! we were so excited that charlie & crista were able to come visit too!! of course, the highlight of each trip is feeding mamaw's goats :)

boys will be boys!! they had so much fun playing together....though crista and i decided next time we are taking them up to the farm and just letting them loose in all the dirt!

mamaw's birthday is next weekend, the kids decided we needed to celebrate!

 

isn't it amazing how fast they gobble up their cake but it took an act of congress to get them to eat their lunch!?!?!

we had a great weekend visiting mimi & pops, celebrating grey & enjoying more family at mamaw's!

...now back to reality and the first full week of school.....work, gymnastics starts up, PTA meeting, wedding anniversary, football scrimmage, etc....whew, i'm already tired!

we were so blessed to be able to head over to georgia this weekend to help celebrate this precious baby boy's 1st birthday!! we love him and his parents so much.....what a great day for such an awesome family! i had to include a few pics but will leave the rest of them for his mom to share....i also enjoyed taking pics for her, one less thing to worry about!

these two loved celebrating grey too and getting to see lots of friends....good times!!

successful day...

...and continuing our tradition....first & last day of school flowers for my beautiful daughter!! she loves fresh flowers as much as i do....and i love being able to give them to her :) ....though neither one of us gets them as often as we should ~ hint, hint!

after picking up brother and coming home to unpack & put the flowers in water we headed out for another treat....mine as well make the most of a great day!!

i have really enjoyed being able to be home so much the past few days and being there for my kids *special* moments....i am quite blessed that i have the type of job that let's me choose my work days...praise, praise! but back to reality and work tomorrow....and sis can walk down to her daddy's classroom after school!

miss priss said she had a great first day....personal favorites ~ recess & a new table to eat lunch at! food & play, sounds like good times to me :)

FIRST day of FIRST grade...

of course i had to set up a little first day photo shoot this morning....the kids were just too cute :)

after dropping off the big man for another day at his awesome school we headed off to get miss priss settled in...she said she was a little nervous, but very excited!
