her day...

wow....what an amazing day!! today was all about miss audrey caroline and she chose everything we did today ~ you only turn five once :) audrey and her brother are having a birthday party together later in the month so i wanted to make her actual birthday really special....


we started out the morning at sweet & sassy getting a mani/pedi and haircut....it was so cute....glitter lotion, sparkles on her fingers and toes, rings & toe rings, glitter in her hair, sparkle star on her cheek....audrey looked like she had been bedazzled by the time she was done :)

after getting beautified we headed to the mall to ride the carousel and have some lunch.....audrey got to ride the "cowpig" and i rode a brown bear, her request :)

we headed to whole foods next to pick out a birthday cake for tonight and cupcakes to take to school tomorrow so she can celebrate again! as soon as we got home there was a knock at the door and a delivery for audrey ~ balloons from pops & mimi! she was so excited :) about an hour later there was another knock....balloons from grammy! i thought she was going to jump through the roof.....she loved all her balloons....such a great idea ~ thanks to all the grands!!!

once daddy and grant got home we let her open her present....a new book & slip-n-slide....we can't wait to get that out this hot weekend!!

as with everything else, dinner was audrey's choice as well.....big surprise here ~ mexican!! we headed to pablo's, our favorite little cantina and audrey had her usual....cheese quesadilla & refried beans, on a separate plate of course!!

back home for chocolate, chocolate cake ~ yum-o! ......it was so little and cute....perfect for the four of us! grant did an awesome job singing happy birthday to his sister....love it!!

audrey said she had a great birthday....i would hope so! i thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend another day with my sweet girl....still so, so hard for me to believe that she is five.years.old!!!!
