see if you can spot the thorn amongst these gorgeous confederate roses?
ok....here's some tidbits to go with these random pics....we were outside sunday during one of the brief moments without rain to pick up sticks in the yard blown about from the storms....as i surveyed the yard my eyes immediately went to the beautiful flowers above....they were at my neighbors house.....i continued that way picking up sticks, completely intrigued by the gorgeous flowers....as i stood admiring the blooms my sweet neighbor came out and said they were confederate roses....i never heard of such, but that doesn't surprise me....the fact that people can keep bushes, plants & such blooming and living fascinates me anyway....i always have high hopes but they usually fall short.....my all-time favorite flower is a hydrangea and i would give anything to have hydrangea bushes all over my yard.....who knows, maybe one of these days...
the thorn....my husband enjoys a cold beer now and then, to say the least....several months ago if you were to ask him his favorite beer he would say *cold*....a noble answer for the laid back person he is....but now, he has claimed a favorite...i'm not sure why this is really his favorite ~ it could be the hilarious commercials that accompany the beer, the billboards around town stating *tell the recession where to go* & *drink like you're good with money* or it could be that it is one of the cheaper beers to choose from.....you guys have heard me say it before, he's frugal ~ which is a polite way of saying he's cheap.....regardless, he gets flack all the time about his choice of refreshing cold beverage....now, low and behold, they went and camouflaged the can.....seriously....don't think i am going to be able to defend him anymore....
so there...a post about flowers and beer...i know what you're thinking ~ slow blog week there dear? well maybe so but i found both of these items above too interesting not to share :)
