after the pajama party audrey & i headed back to the house to celebrate an early birthday for mimi who is in town for a visit......ya know those teachers & kids who are all out of school tomorrow and get to go have fun but us nurses (and most other people) have to suck it up and head to work....i mean, i'm just saying....anyhoo, more cake ~ chocolate on chocolate ~ and more celebrating equals more fun!!
on a side note....we found out today that our beautiful pecan tree did not produce any pecans for us this year....some of you may remember this post from last october.....we had TONS of pecans last fall.....i cracked pecans till my fingers bled....made pecan pies for thanksgiving, with literally blood, sweat & tears....gave away the bountiful pecans and even froze some to enjoy throughout the season....but not this year.....nope, there is not one . dang . pecan on that tree.....just thought i'd let ya know, that pecan pie won't be showing up for thanksgiving dinner :)

Cute pics as always! How sad about the pecan tree....I wonder why it didn't produce this year?? We used to have lots when I was younger and lived on a farm and we would freeze pecans and eat them all season long as "dessert." I don't know why, but cold/frozen pecans just taste soooo good! Maybe next year????
