....making s'mores!
as i said in the last post.....we are good at *making do*.....audrey took one look at the fire yesterday afternoon and immediately wanted to make s'mores.....great idea, but missing a few key items.....chocolate bars & metal skewers.....well, as you see in the pic above, we made do! chocolate chips melt just as well and spaghetti noodles for the skewers....the noodles worked perfect and guess what?!? ~ it was audrey's idea!! i was quite proud of her for thinking of such an ingenious solution to our problem....
of course, the funny thing was by the time we decided to make s'mores the fire had started dying down.....oh well....probably better for the kids anyway...seeing as they both wanted a try *roasting* the marshmallows...
grant would have preferred to just eat the marshmallows & chocolate chips....by themselves...so cute!
good times!! impromptu moments like these make being a mommy so much fun....and moments like these help me to get through those terrible two & drama queen moments that come quite often :)

That Audrey is one smart girl! I never would have thought to use a noodle. Grant is just like Lucie why go through all the trouble when it all ends up tasting the same = )
