pumpkin fun....

saturday morning we loaded up and headed out to the farm!....we were going on our 2nd annual pumpking picking with the Reid Family....LOVE these guys and what a fun morning!!
we arrived a few minutes before them so we went straight to the cotton pit....such neat idea & so much fun for the kids!! though sissy's pants were covered with cotton when she was done :)

here they are....all the precious kiddos!!....yes, this is just one of many group shot attempts throughtout the day....when you have two camera crazy mommas together, there is no rest for the weary :)
there is a ton of fun stuff for the kids to do....corn cob toss, petting the animals, corn maze, hay maze, horse rides, pedal tractors, lots of yummy food, even more & of course the best part ~ the hayride to the pumpkin patch and picking our pumpkin!!

here we go to the hayride!

big man was so cute.....i don't know if he was sure how to act around such a pretty girl :) little does he know we have already arranged their marriage...lol!
arriving at the pumpkin patch....big man LOVED watching the john deere tractor pull us along the way!
and they're off!.....searching for the *great* pumpkin...

big man was such the gentleman, guess he figured out how to act :)
...helping his pretty girl find the perfect pumpkin!
the kiddos with their pumpkins....they made some GREAT choices!

our family with all our pumpkins ~ big and small!
and just to torment the children a bit more, i mean who could pass up this awesome photo spot!?!, one more group shot...haha, i think brother man is beyond over having his picture made...
my sweet cotton babe...
and of course we grabbed a few munchies for the road....roasted corn, boiled peanuts, pork rinds, fresh lemonade, kettle korn....honestly, how can you walk by all that goodness and not snag a few to go?!?! though we did all finish the morning off with lunch at the same place as last year....why mess up a good thing!

when we got back to town i caught up with grams at the mall and the kids had even more plans for the day....build a scarecrow!!
um, let's call him....rebel...and he does have a real purpose....keeping all the big, black crows around my house away from my pecan tree and my highly coveted pecans!! saturday morning when we woke up we noticed TONS of crows in the yard eating MY pecans....ugh!!....no way was i letting that happen...
thanks to the creativeness of my hubby and kids, rebel was born.....and you know what!??! he really does work....whooohoo!!
our orange beauties!
....can wait to see what these guys turn into :)
